Background
Recently, the United Nations launched the "The Global Initiative on Resilience to Natural Hazards through AI Solutions," which aimed to use advanced technologies in the field of artificial intelligence to enhance human resilience to natural disasters and reduce disaster risks.
In response to and in implementation of the initiatives, the China Meteorological Administration and the World Meteorological Organization jointly held a Meteorological Forum under 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference to explore and promote the application of global meteorological AI technologies, improve the accessibility of early warnings, bridge the global digital gap, and discuss the governance and trust of AI-empowered early warnings.
The forum focused on innovative AI applications in meteorology, providing new ideas for global disaster prevention and mitigation, and early warnings, and painting a new picture for global meteorological AI application and cooperation.
